The comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the game's release, to players developing firm opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed love of snacks. The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol
